스트리트 패션 브랜드 SVRN이 샌프란시스코에 새로운 매장을 오픈했습니다.
2022년 SVRN 시카고점을 디자인했던 WGNB가 이번에도 참여하여 브랜드의 고유한 스타일과 이미지를 살리면서도 샌프란시스코 매장만의 독특함을 부각했습니다.
이 매장은 브랜드의 정체성과 주변 환경을 잘 결합한 프로젝트로, 서로 다른 두 건물을 통합하여 형성된 공간에 위치합니다.
WGNB는 바닥, 층고, 구조적 차이 등을 '타원형의 고리'라는 건축적 요소로 연결해, 통일된 공간 경험을 제공합니다.
두 건물 사이의 층수 차이는 샌프란시스코의 지형에서 아이디어를 얻어 해결했습니다.
설계팀은 도시의 언덕에서 영감을 받아 경사로와 계단을 디자인함으로써, 미국 장애인법(ADA) 기준을 충족하면서 모두가 접근할 수 있도록 했습니다.
또한 샌프란시스코점은 청록색 곡선 벽으로 주목을 끕니다. 이는 무채색 마감이었던 시카고점과는 차별화되는 요소입니다.
산화된 청록색 구리를 사용한 이 벽은 시간성과 헤리티지를 상징하며, SVRN 시카고점의 코르텐 강과도 관련성을 가지고 있습니다.
곡선 벽체는 중첩되어 독특한 긴장감을 만들어 내며, 방문객은 다양한 각도에서 벽체와 공간을 새롭게 감상할 수 있습니다.
행어와 선반은 디자인을 방해하지 않으면서도 효율적이고 다양한 기능을 수행하도록 설계되었습니다.
SVRN 샌프란시스코점은 기존 건축 요소를 보존하면서도 신선한 건축 개념을 도입하여 브랜드 공간을 재구성한 사례입니다.
방문객들은 이 매장에서 SVRN의 상품뿐만 아니라 매장의 독특한 공간까지 함께 경험하게 됩니다.
A new store of street fashion brand SVRN has opened in San Francisco.
Having designed the SVRN Chicago store in 2022, WGNB was also in charge of this project.
The design team completed the store that reflected the brand’s own personality and image while embossing the uniqueness of SVRN San Francisco.
SVRN San Francisco is a unique project that combines the brand’s identity and the store’s locational feature.
This store is located in a space where two independent buildings are integrated after their walls were demolished. WGNB wanted to
provide a consistent spatial experience by connecting different floor level, ceiling heights, and structural differences through an architectural element, “Elliptical Loop”.
The design team found the way to overcome the different floor level of the two buildings from San Francisco’s topography.
Inspired by hills of San Francisco, they designed ramps and stairs. They brought the unique topographical elements into inside,
creating it as an open space for everyone with a design satisfying criteria of Americans with Disabilities Act.
Another feature of SVRN San Francisco is its eye-catching blue-green curved wall. It is also an element that distinguishes it from
SVRN Chicago which was finished with achromatic colors. The oxidized blue-green copper finishing
the curved wall symbolizes time’s flow and heritage. It is related to the Corten Steel used in SVRN Chicago.
