키이우의 역사적 중심부에 위치한 부르사 호텔 1층에는 부르사 바라는 작지만 매력적인 공간이 자리 잡고 있다.
이 장소는 칵테일과 음악을 사랑하는 이들에게 현대 일본 문화의 정수를 선사하며, 나스티아 미르조얀 디자이너가 그 비전을 실현했다.
매주말 레코드 팬들과 라이브 음악 애호가들을 끌어들이며, 전 세계 뮤지션들과 레코드 컬렉터들을 연결하는 허브 역할을 하는 뮤직바로 탄생했다.
공간에 들어서면 가장 먼저 눈길을 사로잡는 것은 DJ 부스와 정성스럽게 배치된 소장 레코드들이다.
중앙에는 손님들이 자유롭게 춤을 즐길 수 있도록 설계된 댄스플로어가 있으며, 양쪽에는 칵테일과 간단한 스낵을 즐길 수 있는 바 카운터가 자리하고 있다.
음악이 중심이 되는 공간인 만큼 음향 디자인에도 각별한 공을 들였는데
세계적으로 인정받는 음향 시스템인 데본 오자스가 사용하는 선명한 사운드를 통해 이곳의 음악은 한층 더 남다른 경험을 선사한다.
이 공간의 설계는 악기를 연상시키는 독특함을 목표로 했다. 방문객들은 아늑한 합판 톤의 인테리어에 둘러싸여
마치 거대한 스피커나 기타의 내부에 들어와 있는 듯한 특별한 분위기를 느낄 수 있다.
직선적인 디자인과 깨끗한 구조, 수평과 수직의 리듬이 조화를 이루며 동양적 디자인 요소가 미묘하게 녹아들어가 있다.
조명 역시 이곳의 분위기를 형성하는 중요한 요소로 작용한다.
손님들이 앉아 있는 주변 좌석에는 포인트 조명을 배치해 친밀하고 아늑한 느낌을 더했으며
레코드 선반과 음료는 부드러운 선형 조명을 활용해 더욱 돋보이게 연출했다. 각 공간마다 다른 조도를 설정해 다양한 감성을 제시함으로써 깊이 있는 분위기를 구현했다.
또한, 설계 과정에서 해결해야 했던 과제 중 하나는 바로 위층 호텔 객실로 음악이 전달되지 않도록 효과적인 방음 시스템을 구축하는 것이었다.
이를 위해 천장 높이를 낮추면서도 조명과 환기 장치를 위한 격자 구조를 더해 한층 더 따뜻하고 아늑한 공간으로 만들었다.
Bursa Bar is located on the first floor of the Bursa Hotel in the historic center of Kyiv. It reflects contemporary Japanese culture immersed in the world
of cocktails and music. Nastia Mirzoyan was tasked with creating a small yet cozy music bar that would attract enthusiasts for
vinyl record and live-set every weekend, becoming a hub for musicians and vinyl collectors from around the world.
The space features simple and functional zoning. Upon entry, there are DJ booth and vinyl collection,
a dance floor for guests’ free movement in the center, and bar counters for cocktails and snacks on both sides.
As it is a space by the medium of music, special attention is paid to acoustic design. The sound is created using some of the best acoustic systems, Devon Ojas.
The architect’s idea was to create a space reminiscent of a musical instrument, where every visitor would feel like they’re inside a giant music speaker or guitar,
surrounded by a cozy atmosphere of plywood. In the design, the design team aimed to subtly implement the features of Eastern style:
orthogonal lines, clean shapes, horizontal orientation of objects, vertical rhythm of walls, and orthogonal ceiling.
Lighting plays a crucial role in creating the evening atmosphere. The design team placed accent lightings for guest seating areas to
create small bright spots, and used soft linear lighting to emphasize vinyl shelves and exquisite drinks.
The intensity of the lighting can be adjusted to create various moods for different areas.
