엠오 INTERIORS SAUDI ARABIA Cafe
이 프로젝트의 목적은 전통에서 벗어난 베이커리/에스프레소 바를 조성하는 것, 인테리어디자인이 프로젝트 콘셉트를 대표하는 것이었다.
설계팀은 커뮤니티 주도로 브랜드에 대한 참여도를 높이고, 전체적인 경험을 향상시킬 만큼 제품과 소통 면에서 돋보이는 공간을 연출하고자 했다.
엠오(MO)의 주 매력은 베이킹 제품이며, 이는 정통적이고 재생 가능한 맛을 가진 귀중한 것으로 공간에 제공된다.
이러한 이유로, 생명을 창조하는 물을 기반으로 하는 콘셉트가 개발됐다.
그러나 물은 모든 베이커리의 기반이기도 하다.
동시에 현실을 왜곡하고 우리의 관점을 바꿀 수 있는 요소로, 다른 것들과의 차별화를 추구하는 엠오의 철학과 완벽하게 어울린다.
공간은 물을 주원료로 하는 커피와 구운 빵을 만드는 과정 각각의 단계를 나타내는 세 부분으로 구획되었다.
설계팀은 먼저 반죽이 물과 섞이고 엠오의 서로 다른 모든 영역의 연결점을 만드는 ‘액체 상태’를 이용했다.
바(Bar) 영역에는 맛있는 제품을 판매하는 ‘바’가 공간의 중심점이라는 사실을 명시하듯 거대한 폭포를 재현했다.
‘고체 상태’ 또는 ‘얼음’의 영역은 얼음을 상징하는 일련의 대형 전등으로 만들어졌다.
반면 그 옆에서는 과자들이 오븐에서 구워지는 순간을 표현하는 불 전구로 ‘기체 상태’를 보여준다.
물로 만들 수 있는 왜곡된 반사를 연출하기 위해 테이블과 직물의 금속성 마감재에는 회색과 흰색 팔레트가 선택되었다.
공간을 다른 상태로 전환할 수 있는 분위기를 설정하기 위해 조명은 완전히 조절할 수 있는 RGB 조명을 통합했다.
조명은 공간 내에서 캠페인, 업무, 대화 등 목적에 알맞게 전체적으로 다른 공간을 표현할 수 있다.
조명은 또 다른 광학적 융합을 연출하는 크롬 패브릭, 테이블, 구체(球體)에서 공간의 반사에 의해 확장되기도 한다.
The aim of this project was to create a bakery/espresso bar getting away from the traditional and to
make the interior design represent the project concept.
The design team intended to create a space which stands out from the product and the communication, so that it is driven by community,
becomes a highly engaging brand, and elevates the overall experience.
The main attraction from MO would be the baked goods, presented in the space as jewels with authentic and renewable flavors.
For this reason, a concept which creates life based
on water was developed, but it is also the base of any bakery.
At the same time, water is an element that can distort reality and change our point of view,
which is the perfect matching point with MO’s philosophy to do things different.
The space was divided in 3 different parts which describes each phase of the processes to make baked goods and coffee using water as
the main ingredient. The design team first expresses the “liquid state”, where the dough is mixed with water and which
makes the connection point of all the different areas of MO’s interior. In the bar zone,
a huge waterfall which is recreated, which makes clear that the central point of the space is the bar with its delicious products for sale.
