디지털화로 인해 변화된 업무 형태는 프라이스에프엑스의 정체성을 잘 보여준다.
프라이스에프엑스의 경영진과 직원들은 주로 창의적인 논의를 위한 공간으로 사무실을 활용하며
이를 구현하기 위해 설계를 맡은 collcoll은 고정관념을 탈피한 다목적 공간을 조성했다.
주요 설계 목표는 기존 사무실의 확장과 함께 유연한 활용이 가능한 새로운 층을 추가하는 것이었다.
이 두 층은 수천 개의 목재 픽셀로 구성된 독특한 구조물을 통해 연결되며, 이는 사무실의 랜드마크 역할을 할 뿐 아니라 주변 공간의 분위기를 조율한다.
이 목재 구조물은 게임 마인크래프트에서 영감을 받아 제작되었으며, 40×40㎝ 크기의 목재 큐브로 이루어져 있다.
각 큐브는 합판으로 마감되어 있으며 내부에는 계단과 미끄럼틀이 자리 잡고 있다.
구조물 내부에는 개인 사물함, 탈의실, 기능실이 숨겨져 있으며, 큐브 자체는 필요에 따라 의자나 프레젠테이션용 공간으로도 사용 가능하다.
전반적으로 규칙적인 디자인을 유지하며 일반적인 조명 그리드가 설치되었고, 이 조명은 개별 LED 픽셀까지 제어할 수 있는 디지털 스크린 기능을 한다.
이는 바 카운터와도 연결되며, 천장의 조명은 실내 뿐만 아니라 외부로도 투사되어 도시의 야경에 기여한다.
내부 공간은 높은 유연성을 자랑한다. 저층에는 휴식 공간과 비공식적 모임 장소, 다양한 크기의 회의실이 배치되어 있다.
최대 50명을 수용할 수 있는 다기능 회의실은 이동식 음향 칸막이를 이용해 촬영 스튜디오로 변형할 수 있으며
소규모 독립 공간으로 나누어 공유 데스크나 소회의실로도 활용 가능하다.
또한 프레젠테이션 룸은 화상 회의가 가능한 작은 공간부터 매입형 스크린이 설치된 원형
극장까지 다양한 형식으로 제공되어 사용자가 필요에 맞춘 공간을 선택할 수 있다.
전체 공간은 카페와 회의실의 기능을 동시에 수행하면서 물리적·감각적으로 분리된다.
투명한 유리는 불투명하게 변환되고, 슬라이딩 패널로 쉽게 공간을 구획할 수 있으며, 조명 및 기타 요소를 조정해 방의 분위기를 조절할 수도 있다.
설계팀은 ‘산업주의’라는 주제를 현대적 감각으로 풀어내고자 했다.
묵직한 관형의 검은 금속 가구는 기술적 요소와 자연스럽게 융화되며, 조명 칩과 센서 시스템이 조화를
이루는 격자 구조는 소프트웨어와 정보 중심 시대에 부합하는 산업주의적 접근 방식을 표현하고 있다.
The changes in working habits brought about by digitalization are part of pricefx’s identity.
The management and employees of pricefx use their offices primarily for meetings that stimulate creative dialogue.
The main brief was to expand the core offices, and provide an additional floor with maximum flexibility of use.
The two floors are connected by a structure composed of thousands of wooden pixels, which are inspired by the game
and made of wooden cubes of 40×40㎝. The structure modulates the space around it, and becomes its internal landmark.
At the core of the structure, there are an
interior staircase and a slide. Personal lockers, dressing rooms and
function rooms are hidden inside the wooden blocks, which are also used for seats and create presentation area.
The regular structure is written into the universal light grid above the entire space, which functions as a screen that is controlled down to the individual LED pixels.
This is also projected onto the bar counter. The lighting on the ceiling illuminates outside as well as inside, creating an urban night scene.
The interior space changes flexibly. The lower floor has a meeting place, a relaxation area,
and a conference room. The multi-functional conference room with a table for 50 people can be a filming studio
using a mobile acoustic partition. The room itself can be divided into smaller units, either hot desk areas or smaller meeting rooms.
The presentation rooms are scattered from video conference rooms to open amphitheaters equipped
with a retractable screen, so a space to suit the meeting format can be chosen.
