엠스탠드커피 지난점 M Stand Coffee Jinan Store
이 프로젝트는 지난(濟南)에 있는 엠스탠드의 첫 번째 매장이다.
지난은 신구 도시 경관이 혼재된 오랜 역사를 가진 도시로, 클라이언트는 이러한 지난의 특징과 연결되는 공간을 조성하고자 했다.
프로젝트의 핵심은 과거와 현재의 대화를 디자인에 반영하는 것이었다.
설계팀은 도시의 성곽과 골목길을 기하학적 형태로 추상화해, 공중과 지면에 엇갈리게 배열했다.
이는 시각적으로 강렬한 바 위에 랜드마크를 형성하여, 길을 안내하고 내부 흐름을 명확하게 한다.
매장 깊숙한 곳에 설치한 반밀폐형 ‘집’ 모양 매스는 사적인 공간을 마련하고, 전경(前景)과 배경의 관계 측면에서 전체 구성의 균형을 잡는다.
확장되고 축소되는 공간의 상호작용은 랜드마크와 배경 간 대화를 촉진하고, 고객이 공간을 더 풍부하게 경험하도록 돕는다.
기존 부지의 건축구조는 대형 콘크리트 기둥과 높은 콘크리트 슬래브를 통해 그 존재감을 드러낸다.
새로운 보와 기둥 시스템은 옛 공간의 질서 위에 세워졌다.
바닥부터 천장까지 이어지는 목조기둥은 연속적이고 둘러싸이는 느낌을 조성해, 가구와 녹지가 어우러진 넓은 공간 내에 소도시의 분위기를 연출한다.
새로운 목조 보는 기존 콘크리트 기둥과 새로 추가된 대형 매스를 연결한다.
보는 부분적으로 개방된 천장을 통해 노출콘크리트 슬래브와 이어지며 옛것과 새것이 뒤얽힌 장면을 만들어낸다.
선정된 자재는 절제된 검정 모자이크 벽돌과 따뜻한 목재로, 지난의 한결같고 소박한 성격을 반영한다.
원자재 그대로 사용된 노출콘크리트는 느긋한 분위기를 더한다.
형체 언어는 주로 간결하고 대범한 선형과 사각형의 기하학적 매스로 구성되어, 내부 공간에 작은 도시를 조성한다.
This is M Stand’s first store in Jinan.
Jinan has a long history with a mix of old and new cityscapes, and the client aimed to create a space that would be integrated with this feature of Jinan.
The core of this project was to reflect the dialogue between the past and present in the design.
The design team abstracted the city’s walls and alleyways into geometric shapes, arranging them in a staggered manner in the air and on the ground.
This forms a landmark above the bar with strong visibility, providing the wayfinding function and enhancing the clarity of the interior flow.
A semi-enclosed mass in the shape of “house” at the deeper parts of the store provides private space,
and balances the overall composition in terms of figure-ground relationships.
The interplay of expanding and contracting spaces enhances the dialogue between the landmark and background,
and helps customers experience the space more richly.
The architectural structure of the original site reveals its existence through large concrete columns and high concrete slabs.
