이 주택은 스페인국립발레단의 마지막 감독인 안토니오 나하로(Antonio Najarro)가 거주하는 곳이다.
이곳의 구성은 뮤지컬 작품 <오리헨 알렌토(Origen Alento)>에서 의상을 펄럭이는 무용수들의 동작에 영감을 받은 나선형을 띠고 있다.
나선형의 중심부는 무용수가 알몸으로 사용하는 샤워실로, 춤 동작을 만들어 내는 공간 요소이기도 하다.
주택의 주색인 파랑과 분홍 또한 무용수들의 의상에서 따온 것이다.
나하로 주택은 나하로 자신의 정체성과 삶과 일관되게 설계되었으며, 특히 발레 감독으로서의 특징과 특성을 갖추고 있다.
나하로의 작품, 기술, 스타일, 역동성을 개관하는 그의 궤적은 예술가의 영감을 위한 연구와 발전의 대상이었다.
리듬이 어떻게 공간에 표현될 수 있을까? 예술가는 어떻게 주거 공간에서 다른 사람의 본질을 포착할 수 있을까?
이런 질문에서 출발한 이 프로젝트는 무용수들의 동작을 이해하여, 전통적인 스페인 춤에 따라 구성을 명확하게 표현했다.
주택 공간은 이러한 방식으로 변형되어, 다양한 춤 기법의 전형적인 형태를 채택했다.
이 아이디어는 배치, 마감, 시공 디테일, 가구, 모든 종류의 가정용품 등 프로젝트의 전체적인 범위에 적용되었다.
그 결과, 나하로 춤의 예술적 동작에 호기심을 일으키는 건축을 성공적으로 접목했다.
즉 춤을 위한 건축물이 완성된 것이다.
나하로 주택에서 볼 수 있는 일부 자재와 구성 형태는 건축가가 펼치는 세계의 특징이다.
이 건축물의 주요소는 스페인 건축의 전통과 밀접하게 관련된 자재라는 사실을 한눈에 알 수 있다.
존재감을 드러내는 또 다른 자재인 마이크로시멘트는, <오리헨 알렌토> 무대에서 볼 수 있던 다양한 색조의 분홍색으로
주택의 바닥, 천장, 주방 아일랜드를 장식하여, 감싸는 분위기를 연출하고 있다.
또한, 건축가의 설계에서 중요하면서도 자주 볼 수 있는 요소인 거울이 전략적인 위치에 배치되었다.
거울들은 기둥을 숨기고 공간을 확장하여, 외부에 있는 식물들을 비추는 것처럼 방 안에 있는 사람들을 비추어, 빛과 사람들의 존재감을 배가시킨다.
This is the house of Antonio Najarro who is the last director of Spanish National Ballet.
It has a spiral shape inspired by the movement performed by the dancers’ costumes on the
stage of the musical piece . The center of the spiral is the shower,
a place where the dancer’s naked body is found, and an element that generates movement in dance.
The main colors of the house, blue and pink, also correspond to the dancers’ costumes.
Najarro’s house was designed in coherence with his own identity and life,
taking the features and peculiarities of the ballet director himself in particular.
His trajectory was the object of study and development for the artist’s inspiration.
How can rhythm be extrapolated to a space? How can an artist capture the essence of another in a space to be inhabited?
Starting from these questions, this project understood the dancers’ movement,
articulating the construction at the mercy of traditional Spanish dance. In this way,
the domestic spaces are deformed, adopting morphologies typical of the different dance
techniques. This idea was taken to all scales of the project: distribution, finishes,
construction details, furniture and all kinds of domestic objects. As a result,
an architecture evoking curiosity was combined successfully with the artistic movements
of Najarro’s dance, in other words, an architecture for dance was completed.
