블라손 / Blasón

블라손은 작가 후안 라몬 실바 페라다(Juan Ramón Silva Ferrada)의 주택이자 스튜디오로,

도시의 산업 유산을 보호하기 위한 전략적 프로젝트인 ‘산업 회복을 위한 원리(Elements for industrial recovery)’ 시리즈의 일부이다.

대형 벽면을 따라 구성된 블라손의 중앙 뼈대는 더 많은 공공 영역과 사적 영역을 구분한다.

이는 건물의 모든 시설을 포함하고 이 공간에서의 생활에 필요한 여러 물건과 기능을 지원하는 중요한 부분이다.

다른 요소들은 벽에 부착되어 선반, 틈, 받침대, 벽 날개 등을 형성한다.

벽면을 따라 보이는 개구부는 침실과 욕실로 이어지는데, 차고, 운동실,

주방, 식당, 거실로 사용되는 공공 영역과 분리하고자 흰색 콘크리트 벽돌을 세웠다.

이로써 매우 가느다란 기존 구조를 보존하고, 요소의 두께가 두꺼워지는 것을 막을 수 있었다.

본래 이 건물에 있었던 안마당 두 개는 오랜 세월 다양한 개조와 변형을 거치면서 내부 영역을 확장하기 위해 조성된 것이었다.

길거리가 아니라, 블록 내부로 공간을 개방할 가능성과 교차 환기를 확보하기 위해 두 안마당은 복원되었다.

설계팀은 안마당에 외부 파사드를 만들어, 파사드의 리듬을 형성하는 경계 벽면의 기존 벽기둥에 리듬을 선사했다.

개조를 통해 실내 공간이 나뉘었지만, 블라손은 서로 다른 높이에서 모든 공간이 연결되어 단일한 공기가 흐르는 매스다.

Blasón is the home and studio of a writer Juan Ramón Silva Ferrada, and is a part of the project series called

Blasón is organized along a large wall, a central spine that separates the more public areas from the more private ones.

It is also an important servant element which contains all the facilities of the building and supports other objects and

functions required to live in this space. As different elements adhere to the wall, they cause ledges, gaps, abutments and buttresses.

The openings that appear along the wall lead to the bedrooms and bathrooms, and a white concrete

brick wall is built in order to separate them from the more public areas used as a garage, gym, kitchen, dining room and living room.

On the contrary, the project for the roof preserves the original structure which is extremely slender,

complementing the metal framework with additional steel bars to strengthen the

whole and thereby to avoid increasing the thickness of the elements.
