아사데로 Asadero
아사데로(Asadero)는 아르헨티나 수도 부에노스아이레스의 올리보스 지역에 있는 새로운 레스토랑이다.
설계팀은 도시 환경과 나란히 놓여 상호작용하는 설계에 주안점을 두었다.
물성에 초점을 맞춰진 아사데로의 디자인은 여러 분야에 걸쳐 활동하는 스튜디오 Chamber Projects,
디자인 및 건축 스튜디오 It-Met, 그리고 건축회사 Giusto Van Campenhout의 협업으로 진행됐다.
이들이 의뢰 받은 부지는 복잡한 도시와 상업용 부동산이 부딪치는 지역에 자리해 있었다.
디자이너들은 이런 환경을 뒤덮는 ‘타불라 라사(tabula rasa, 백지)’라는 접근방식을 택했다.
지역의 기존 건축적 레이어와 어울릴 수 있는 캐주얼한 식사공간을 개발하기로 했다.
Chamber Projects의 설립자 후안 가르시아 모스케다(Juan García Mosqueda)는 “이 프로젝트는 서로 다른 시스템들이
교차하는 순간을 노출시키는 최소의 개입을 제안한다”고 설명한다.
대리석, 삼나무목재, 구리, 알루미늄, 스테인리스스틸을 비롯한 다양한 자재 팔레트로 제작된 새로운 형태의 맞춤 가구를 활용해 이런 작업을 수행할 수 있었다.
아사데로의 가장 큰 특징은 둥근 콘크리트 기둥과 광택 나는 콘크리트 바닥이다.
흰색 레스토랑의 부피감을 더욱 두드러지게 하여 공간의 수직성을 강조한다.
또 삼나무목재 테이블과 의자는 줄무늬가 있는 높은 대리석 바 테이블과 함께 공간에 온기를 불어넣는다.
바 테이블은 공간을 여유롭게 분리하고, 공간 어디서나 볼 수 있는 둥근 형태를 통합하고 있다.
구리, 알루미늄, 스테인리스스틸 요소와 Arturo Peruzzotti의 조명은 산업적 특성을 표현한다.
아사데로의 외관이 어떻게 다루어졌는지, 또 그것이 어떻게 이웃에 섞였는지 살피는 과정은 흥미롭다.
공간 자체에 대한 디자이너들의 개입은 미묘하면서도 신중했다. 가까이 다가갈수록 더 많은 것이 보인다.
그들은 기존 건축물을 개조하기보다는 강조하기로 결정하고, 정교하게 만들어진 가구를 중심으로 설계하였다.
따뜻하고 촉각적이고 다양한 가구작품들은 접대 환경에서 기대되는 친밀한 분위기를 연출하는 역할을 한다.
Asadero is a new restaurant in Olivos, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The design team focused on making it interact with and juxtapose with the urban surroundings.
Asadero’s material-focused design was proceeded by the collaboration between multidisciplinary practice Chamber Projects,
design and architecture studio It-Met and architecture firm Giusto Van Campenhout.
The given site was located in an area where complicated urban and commercial real estate collide each other.
Instead of overwriting this context and taking a ‘tabula rasa’ approach, the designers chose to develop a casual
dining space that plays with the existing architectural layers in the area.
“The project presents a series of minimum interventions that expose those moments where different systems intersect”
explains Chamber Projects’ founder Juan García Mosqueda. Introducing new forms and custom range of furniture
made of a varied material palette including marble, cedar wood, copper, aluminum and stainless steel, enabled them to do so.
Rounded concrete columns and polished concrete floors dominate the space,
highlighting the white restaurant’s volume and emphasizing spatial verticality.
Cedar tables and chairs inject warmth with veined-marble bar tables, which also loosely divide the space
and incorporate rounded shapes found elsewhere. Industrial features come via copper, aluminium,
stainless steel elements and lighting by Arturo Peruzzotti.
