카라 멜라 베이커리(Cara Mela Bakery)는 마드리드 참베리 지역의 올라비데 광장 근처에 위치해 있다.
프로젝트는 디지털과 실제 세상 사이에서 혼합된 소비를 위한 테이크아웃 건축물을 제안한다.
수축과 이완, 상반된 공간적 작용으로 두 공간을 나눴다.
흰색의 첫 번째 공간에서 방문객을 맞이한다.
작은 공간이지만, 클라이언트의 모든 요구를 충족시키는 가구를 갖추고 있다.
다양한 형태를 띠는 이 가구는 협소한 공간에 맞게 접히기도 한다.
카운터인 동시에 바, 수납장, 냉장고, 오븐, 계산대, 선반, 쓰레기통, 커피메이커, 분쇄기, 싱크대가 된다.
이곳은 다음 공간으로 가기 위한 일종의 내부 파사드로 볼 수도 있다.
녹색의 두 번째 공간은 이완되고 팽창된다. 공간 전체에 놓여 있는 가구는 진열대와 좌석, 테이블 등 다양한 기능을 한다.
마치 카라멜 같은 형태의 자체적인 우주를 창조하는 것처럼 보인다.
가구의 형태는 서로 다른 물성을 가진 위와 아래의 보이드 사이에 그려지는 달콤한 붓놀림처럼 단색의 공간을 떠다닌다.
녹색 타일의 바다에 푹 빠져 있는 빨간 사각형은 사람들의 관심을 사로잡는다.
사람들은 그 투명한 빨간 창을 통해 주방에서 자신들의 일에 집중하는 장인들을 엿볼 수 있다.
이 프로젝트의 전반적인 구성에서 주역은 색상과 물성이다.
케이크가 나올 때 잠깐 열리는 빨간 창은 주방의 열기가 나오기라도 할까 이내 닫힌다.
타일은 실내 공간을 이어주는 역할을 한다.
표면의 광택은 각 방의 형태와 색상이 서로 다름에도 전체 공간을 하나로 이해할 수 있는 시각적 동질감을 조성한다.
Cara Mela Bakery is located near Plaza de Olavide, in the Madrid neighbourhood of Chamberí.
This project suggests a take-away architecture for a hybrid consumption between digitality and the presence.
It is divided into two areas by opposing spatial operations of systole and diastole.
The first white space welcomes the visitors. It is small but gives rise to an equipped piece of furniture that meets all the needs of the clients.
This artifact takes multiple forms and folds suitable for small space. It is a counter, and it is also a bar, a warehouse, a refrigerator,
an oven, a cash register, a shelf, a garbage can, a coffee maker, a grinder, and a sink.
It can be said this space becomes a kind of interior facade that invites and spills into the next room.
The second space relaxes and expands. Furniture placed throughout the space serves as various functions such as a display,
a seat or a table. It appears to create its own universe of caramelized forms. The forms float in this monochrome space like
sweet brushstrokes that are drawn between the two voids above and below with different materiality. Immersed in
this sea of green tiles, a red square captures users’ attention. They observe the craftsmen
who concentrate on their daily tasks in the kitchen through the transparent red window.
