메아마 컬렉트 해변 바 / Meama Collect Beach Bar
조지아 메아마 컬렉트 해변에는 특정 시기에 임시로 설치되는 시설물을 볼 수 있다.
바로 바투미 해안에서 일정 기간에만 운영되는 바(bar)이다.
흡사 항구를 떠올리게 만든다.
계절에 맞는 커피와 칵테일 브랜드가 정박을 위해 저마다의 닻을 내리는 듯한 모양새다.
설계팀은 바로 이 메아마 컬렉트 해변에 조성되는 바를 위해 캐노피에 집중했다.
구름처럼 가벼우면서도 역동적인 캐노피를 설치, 끊임없이 불어오는 바람과 설치물의 상호작용을 연출하기 위한 부분이었다.
이는 조립과 해체를 쉽게 만들고자 의도한 지점이기도 하다.
지면에 닿아 있는 구조물은 점차 위로 솟아오를수록 100m²의 캐노피로 확장된다.
프레임은 패브릭 벨트로 둘러쌌다
해변의 분위기에 어울리게 하면서도, 외관을 무겁게 보이지 않게 하기 위한 선택이었다.
그늘을 드리우는 가벼운 장치는 부드러운 미풍에도 흔들리는 장면을 연출, 마치 일렁이는 파도를 떠올리게 한다.
설계팀은 구조물의 콘셉트를 구조물이 놓일 위치에 맞게 결정했다.
분주한 바투미대로와 해안 사이에 둥근 형태의 구조물을 놓아, 주변에서부터 방문객들을 원으로 맞이하는 형태다.
또한, 구조 중심부에 마련된 원형 바에 필수적인 수납시설을 포함하여, 기능적인 부분 또한 놓치지 않았다.
바 주변 공간은 필요에 따라 다양한 방문자 그룹을 수용할 수 있도록 좌석을 배치, 가변성과 유연성을 곁들였다.
메아마 컬렉트 해변 바는 밤이 되면 거대한 조명이 된다.
해변이 어두워지면서 스스로 빛을 발하는 캐노피가 사람들을 끌어들이고 부드러운 빛을 주변으로 확산시키는 일종의 랜턴 역할을 한다.
이 구조물은 끊임없이 활동하고 변화하여, 해변의 리듬과 상쾌한 분위기에 조화롭게 어우러진다.
There are temporary seasonal installations at Meama Collect Beach in Georgia.
They are just bars managed for a certai perioed of time on Batumi sea coast, and remind us of a harbor.
They serve as a coffee and cocktail brand’s anchor points
The eye-catcher is the cloud-like, light-weight, dynamic canopy which interacts with the constant wind.
The main objective was to create a temporary assembly that would be dismantled and reassembled easily.
The structure touches the ground at one point, and as it raises, it expands into a 100㎡ canopy.
In order to respond to the beach atmosphere, and to avoid a heavy appearance, the frame is enclosed with fabric belts.
These lightweight shading devices respond even to a gentle breeze, and create the feeling of the sea waves.
The concept was informed by its location.
Fixed in the middle of the coast, between the lively shore and the very active Batumi boulevard, its round shape is welcoming visitors from around.
The round bar, arranged around the structural core, accommodates all operations and essential storage facilities.
The space around the bar is a platform that allows flexible, self‐configurable sitting arrangements for various visitor groups as needed.
