스타 조아나 주택 / House in Sta Joana
유럽의 전통적인 붉은 세라믹 지붕이 주를 이루는 주거단지 사이, 눈에 띄게 환한 백색을 띠는 지붕을 가진 주택 한 채가 자리하고 있다.
포르투갈의 베니스라 불리는 도시 아베이루에 위치한 스타 조아나 주택은 서민을 위한 넓은 주택단지로
구획이 나뉜 거리에서 주택 시공과정의 반복과 체계화라는 의식이 강렬한 특징을 나타낸다.
건축팀은 이러한 반복과 체계화라는 생각을 인테리어 콘셉트에 접목하고자 했다.
모든 제안은 지형의 유형적 조건에서 시작되었고, 이 조건은 주택의 프로그램과 볼륨 형태에 영향을 미쳤다.
주택은 위치적 측면에서 세로로 전개되고 지형의 형태에 맞게 자체적으로 적응함으로써 경계를 형성하고 정의한다.
설계팀은 거리와 주택의 관계를 소통이 아닌 단절로 선택해, 프라이버시가 존중되는 공간을 조성했다.
또한, 이곳이 쾌적한 느낌을 주는 안식처를 만들기 위한 거주지의 콘셉트와 목적에 부합해야 한다고 생각했다.
따라서 주택은 정문 영역과 자동차 진입로에서만 거리를 마주하고, 친밀한 성격의 나머지 프로그램은 부지의 내부를 향한다.
전반적인 프로그램은 기능에 따라 나뉜다.
공적 영역은 바깥 거리와 좀 더 가깝고, 현관 홀, 화장실, 세탁실, 주방, 휴식 영역, 차고 진입로로 구성되어 있다.
독서 영역, 위생 시설, 침실, 안방 등이 있는 사적 영역은 외부 거리에서 멀리 떨어져 있다.
건물의 형태에 대해서는 북쪽에서 남쪽으로 세 개의 메인 매스를 조성하도록 설계되었으며, 각 매스는 경사진 지붕 구조를 띠고 있다.
북쪽으로 부지를 차단하는 차고 매스로 인해 예외적인 상황이 발생했다.
이러한 형태는 실내공간에 반영되어, 공간의 명확성과 위계성을 연출한다.
Between residential complexes mainly with the traditional European red ceramic roofs, there is a house with a noticeably bright white roof.
Sta Joana House located in the city of Aveiro, called Venice of Portugal, is characterized strongly by the sense of repetition and
systematization of the construction process in a street marked by a vast set of housings for the working class. The achitectural team
intended to graft this idea of repetition and systematization on the interior concept.
The whole proposal started from a morphological condition of the terrain, and this condition influenced the programmatic and volumetric shape of the house.
In terms of location, the house is developed longitudinally and adapts itself to the terrain shape,
creating and defining its boundaries. The option to “close” the house to the street creates a sense of
privacy and isolation. The architectural team thought that this should be one of the purposes and concepts
of inhabit to create a refuge where they feel good. Thus, the house is facing to the street only the main entrance area
and the car access. The remaining programs with an intimate nature, turn to the interior of the terrain.
