이 프로젝트는 중국 광둥성 산터우(汕頭)에 있는 아파트로 비행기조종사와 스튜어디스 부부를 위해 설계되었다.
그들 시간의 대부분은 공항과 집, 두 장소와만 관련된 것 같다.
그들은 무거운 중압감으로 일하면서 비행하는 동안 집중해야 하고, 주로 늦은 밤에 집으로 돌아온다.
디자인스튜디오 AD ARCHITECTURE는 이런 사항들을 감안하여 그들 삶의 속도를 늦출 수 있는 맞춤 주거지를 조성하고자 했다.
경사진 독특한 구조의 실내공간이 특징인 이 아파트는 맨 위층에 있다.
AD ARCHITECTURE는 간소한 자재 팔레트를 적용하고 햇빛을 최대한 활용하여 기존 공간을 미니멀하고 참신한 집으로 바꾸어 놓았다.
설계팀은 공간의 장식과 가구보다는 인간과 공기, 바람과 햇빛의 관계를 다루는 데 초점을 맞추었다.
전체 공간은 2개 층인데, 1층은 생활공간, 2층은 여가공간으로 구성되었다.
1층에는 집주인의 요구에 따라 별개의 드레스룸과 여행가방용 캐비닛이 설계되었다.
2층에서는 충분한 햇빛과 환기를 확보하기 위해서 거실 위쪽 슬래브가 제거되었고,
여가영역 외에도 휴게실이 마련되어 있어 부부 중 한 사람이 밤늦게 귀가했을 때 다른 사람을 방해하지 않고 사용할 수 있다.
거실과 식당은 열린 공간으로 서로 연결되어 가족 간의 상호작용을 촉진시킨다.
시각적으로 멋진 매력을 발산하며 2층으로 이어지는 계단은 하나의 설치예술작품처럼 보인다.

목재베니어는 공간에 따뜻한 분위기를 연출한다.
그레이 타일, 화이트 페인트, 밝은 컬러의 목재 등 한정된 자재 팔레트는 전체 공간에서 미니멀리즘과 간소한 미학을 형성하는 데 일조하였다.
The project is an apartment located in Shantou, Guangdong Province, China, designed for a pilot–stewardess couple.
Most of the time, there are only two places that they seem to be associated with: airport and home.
They have to work under great pressure and stay quite concentrated during the flight, and it is often late at night when they come back home.
Considering these factors, AD ARCHITECTURE, the design studio, aimed to create a tailor-made residence for the couple where they can slow down the pace of life.
The apartment is on the top of a building, with the interior space featuring many slanting and unique structures. Through
making full use of natural light as well as adopting an austere material palette, AD ARCHITECTURE turned the original space into a
minimalist and refreshing home. The design team focused on dealing with the relations between human and air, wind and
sunlight, rather than decoration and furnishing of the space.
The overall space is composed of two floors, with 1F serving for living and 2F for leisure. On 1F,
an independent dressing room and a luggage case cabinet were designed catering to the needs of the owners.
And the 2nd floor slab above the living room was removed, in order to ensure enough daylight and ventilation in the space.
Apart from leisure areas, there is a resting room on 2F, which can be used when one of the owner gets home late at night, without disturbing the other person.
