1971년 알도 카르핀테리(Aldo Carpinteri)가 설립한 미래지향적인 이탈리아 패션브랜드 모데스(MODES)는 항구
산책로라는 상징적인 환경에 있는 포르토체르보의 첫 번째 매장을 위해 Gonzalez Haase AAS와 손을 맞잡았다.
건축가 듀오 유디트 하세(Judith Hasse)와 피에르 호르헤 곤잘레스(Pierre Jorge Gonzalez)는 독특한 입지와
시각예술의 결합에 대한 그들의 공통적인 관심을 공간 콘셉트에 반영, 매장 특유의 경험을 선사한다.
두 건축가는 컬러풀한 건축과 울창한 초목이라는 섬의 활기찬 배경과 더불어 모든 바닥,
벽면, 천장을 마감하는 회색의 형태와 표면으로 형성된 북유럽 날씨 같은 움직임을 재현하고,
구조물에 움직임과 빛의 반사를 더하는 금속섬유 커튼을 더했다.
천장 주변에 매달린 균일한 조명은 기후에서 예상되는 이미지를 반전시키면서, 북부 지역의 시원한 빛을 참조하고자 한다.
공간을 구성하는 세 층에는 형태와 크기가 고유한 대형 진열블록이 하나 또는 두 가지 컬러팔레트로 제작되었다.
그 형태와 활기찬 존재감은 회색 분위기 속에서 포르토체르보의 넓은 만에 있는 바다의 부표처럼 떠있다.
모데스의 상징적인 컬렉션을 진열하는 표면은 거슬리지 않고 중립적으로 보이도록 아연도금, 산화처리, 붓질마감 또는 고광택 등 다양한 금속 마감으로 맞춤 제작했다.
Gonzalez Haase AAS는 세계적인 패션브랜드를 위한 생동감 넘치는 진열대를 만들고자 노력했다.
“우리는 거의 갤러리 같은 공간을 디자인했다.
매장 내의 모든 가구들은 멀리서도 알아볼 수 있는 특정한 형태와 컬러코드를 가지고 있다.
따라서 모데스 매장은 또 다른 중립적 배경이 되는 은색 표면을 가진 화려한 ‘부표’가 매장의 고급의류를 선보이기 위해 사용되는,
포르토체르보 마을의 회색 ‘구조물’이 된다.”고 피에르 호르헤 곤잘레스는 말한다.
The future-oriented Italian fashion brand MODES founded in 1971 by Aldo Carpinteri, joined hands with Gonzalez Haase AAS
for the first store of Porto Cervo in the iconic setting of harbor promenade. Architects duo Judith Hasse and Pierre Jorge Gonzalez reflect their
common interest in merging unique location and visual arts in the spatial concept, offering an experience of its own.
Playing with the island’s lively backdrop of colourful construction and lush vegetation, the two architects set out to recreate Nordic
weather-like movements made up of neutral grey shapes and surfaces, covering all floors,
walls, and ceilings, complete with curtains made of metallic fibre that add both movement and light
reflection to the composition. Likewise, uniform lighting suspended near the ceiling contradicts what would
be expected in such a climate, calling to reference the cool light of Northern regions.
Across the three floors that make up the space, large display blocks, each unique in their shape and size,
were crafted with a palette of one or two colors. Within the gray climate, their form and vibrant presence float much
like the buoys at sea in the wide bay of Porto Cervo. Display surfaces for MODES’ iconic collection are custom made with various
metal finishes, such as galvanised, anodised, brushed or high polished for a neutral, unintrusive presentation.
